Re: The phobia thread
While I was out today, my fear of falling into the sky came back. It hit me as I was walking along Ridgeway Road. The moment I caught site of Sheffield sprawled out below me, in the distance, I felt like I was no longer firmly rooted to the ground and I had to turn round and go back the other way, so that I could no longer see that I was up high. This makes me very sad, as it means I can no longer stand on hilltops and take in panoramic views.

I'll be venturing outside in a few minutes from now. Pray for me.

The good news it that, each time it happens, it takes less time to get over it. This time, the feeling vanished almost as soon as I turned round and headed back the way I'd come.

Had another attack this morning, using the escalators that lead to the Light Cinema.
How can you have a panic attack about falling into the sky when you're indoors?

To think, mere days ago, Jodie Whittaker was using that very escalator and holding that very handrail.

I have walked to the top of Gleadless Road, without having a panic attack. Gleadless Road is very big and very steep.
It all got a little anxious as I reached the top and the view widened out before me but I ploughed on and have survived.

I could have done without the wall to my right, that separated me from the hideous drop into the valley below, being just two foot tall.

How is this pitiful excuse for a wall supposed to keep me safe?

Does this embedded Streetview shot work for you all or is it just me who can see it?

When I click on it, all I can see is weird blackness and yellow, green and red dots.

Re: The phobia thread
I can see it too.
You've shown us that place before, with the sinister overgrown alley on the other side of the road.
