I felt rather better this morning. I am suspicious. My friend says she had a horrible chest infection at Christmas that started just like this.

I really don't know what to do, I'm due to go away on Tuesday on a trip, including a 'fitting' appointment on Wednesday which I booked in advance and probly need to cancel first thing tomorrow if I'm not going, and 3 nights in Glasgow which I booked at the cheap 'no changes, no cancellation' rate.

I won't get another shot at a trip away until August, but neither do I want to be riding out even an ordinary cold/flu in a Premier Inn 400 miles away from home, let alone having to self isolate for corona there, my goodly mansion left to my dogs to guard.

Shall I cancel everything and just stay at home and get drunk, brooding about having to go back to work the week after next and face the 'resolution meeting'?

If it's the thing that's going round that lots of people, including me, have had, it's no big deal, it just lingers on for a long while without ever getting severe.
