The tall one doesn't really seem to do much. He seems to be occupying the same role that Chris Waddle did in his singing partnership with Glenn Hoddle.

Wikipedia informs me that Unchained Melody first appeared in 1955, while You'll Never Walk Alone made its debut in 1945.
