Former child star Benji Gregory - the actor best known for his role in the hit 1980s sitcom ALF - has died at the age of 46.

His sister, Rebecca Pfaffinger, said in a social media post he was found dead in his car alongside his assistance dog last month.

She told celebrity news site TMZ he had fallen asleep in the vehicle in a car park in Arizona and had died of heatstroke. His dog, Hans, also died.

Mine did not come from Argos.

I bought it myself - I was told I could have anything in the toy dept, and was unleashed to find anything. My grandfather was amazed when I returned with that. He’d never seen it so thought it was just a hideously deformed teddy.

EastEnders and The Bill star Roberta Taylor dies

The London-born actress was popular with TV audiences for playing Irene Raymond in EastEnders and then Gina Gold in police drama The Bill.




In a statement, her agent Roxane Vacaa said: "Sadly I can confirm that Roberta died on 6 July. She was 76."

The London-born actress was popular with TV audiences for playing Irene Raymond in EastEnders between 1997 and 2000.

Her character was the matriarch of the Hills family and came with a number of compelling storylines.

After leaving Albert Square, Taylor returned to TV in 2002 as Inspector Gina Gold in ITV's The Bill - a role she played for six years.
