Come on, dive in?
Re: Momus - Hippopotamomus (1991)
It is over.
It was a living demonstration of the banality of evil.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Re: Momus - Hippopotamomus (1991)
The bonuses, it didn't drag the songs out, and if you squint at it funny you could see how it was like an early version of the dancy folk like Hood or someone like that, when it didn't sound like the Pet Shop Boys.
The Negatives, it sounded liked the Pet Shop Boys. And I wasn't keen on the sweating sex case lyrics.

Re: Momus - Hippopotamomus (1991)
This really is a barbarically dumb forum sometimes.
Momus creates this creepy, transgressive persona that channels his transgressive interests derived from transgressive literature (De Sade, Bataille, Verlaine, Lautreamont etc) and then you lot damn him as thee devil black as a result.
F*S, he even references Sacher-Masoch of "Venus In Furs" fame.
But you don't get anyone slagging off The Velvet Underground do you?
Or any of the trillions of actual rock star paedos and serial underage groupie-shaggers who we've positively reviewed.
All those really brilliant albums by all those awesome bands is what I am trying to say basically.
