I'm fairly sure I've heard her doing a cover of Wrecking Ball, on YouTube.

When did her record company drop her?
And why?
Don't answer that last question.
And why?
Don't answer that last question.

I assume she didn't sell enough records in America, judging by her chart placings.Nightjar wrote:When did her record company drop her?

I couldn't give a date without Googling it.

Re: Lissie - Carving Canyons (2022).
It is over.
It was an odd album. The first third of it was far too processed and corporate-sounding and then she suddenly ditched the pitch correction and reacquainted herself with her Fleetwood Mac collection and the album took off.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

It was OK that anyroadupchuck.
Not as dynamic and surprisingly enjoyable as that other one from that other day (possibly because I had zero expectations all those other days ago), but still a lot stronger and spirited (and technically good) than most of her megastar successors.

BTW, as it stands, that other one from that other day now stands aloft the Olympian ★★★★★ dais with only two other albums of The Commentary Era.
That is however with only two of us voting.
Probably someone else should listen to it and temper affairs a bit.
I enjoyed it, but, in hindsight, I might've got a bit carried away.
I blame that Lonesome wine.

I re-listened to the other album, last night and can confirm that it's better than this one. It has more energy to it and feels more raw vocally.
