The forum in which all human experience resides. Especially for fans of the now-deceased original Hall of the Wendigo. Still Number One with the core demographic.

Well, here it is (again)...
It's a B&O Beogram 1202 from 1972 (not as old as me ) and is very beautiful and unbelievably well (too well?) built.
It weighs an absolute tonne.
It also has weird, faintly imp*netrable controls and all sorts of odd features round the b*ck.
So, that in mind, can anyone find a name to match Mr. Twirly and The Quad I Liberated rom Currys During a Street Fight in '83?

I'm thinking the name of a Hollywood star of yesteryear who was ostensibly glamorous and stylish but was also statuesque, formidable and a weird on the sly.

What where the options from the Young Ones book?
Q: What do you call your stereo?
Wasn't one of the answers 'The Stereo'
Sounds.

My Quad ELS are from 1972 also.

It was 'What do you call your record player' and the answers were 'My record player' and two other names both of which have been used in this thread, one of them by you, I thought the Young Ones thing was what you were getting at!

If Ike'd tried to hit my turntable he'd just get a badly bruised hand.
1202 is built like the proverbial.
I'm thinking she might just have to be just called 1202. :box;

One After 1201.
Like the Beatles song. Of a similar, but not identical name.

I've just seen an advert for the AA that has my turntable in it!
I'm going to sign up with the AA right now.
Even though I can't drive.

I've got a 70s Garrard 401, I can't afford anything new.
