It's 7:46. I have just turned the lights on. Is it the beginning of the end for summer?

It's nine minutes past six and I have just turned my lights on.

It's a darksome morning. I put my lights on at 9.20am.

It's gone all dark again, I've had to turn the landing light on so as to maintain a central area of good visibility.

I haven't turned all the lights off yet, there's been at least two rooms needing illumination since I got up at 7am.

Naturally I have to turn them on as soon as I arrive home now.

It is 4:25 and it is pitch black out there.

My bedside clip-on spotlight stopped working this morning. I had to buy another one on the way home from work. Weirdly the bulb was fine, it was the actual spotlight holder that was no longer serviceable.
