By being a lot less misogynistic than it used to.

I was leafing through some issues from the late 90s while in my storage unit the other week, and I was quite surprised by how much the tone of acceptable discourse had changed since then.

They were still quite funny to read though, especially the surrealistic Davy Jones strips.

Pre-Golden Girls Bea Arthur and Betty White both 'stared' in remakes of Fawtly Towers.

Didn't Raquel Welch star in a remake of Fawlty Towers too?

Apparently, not, although she did say, "I’ve been trying to put together a sitcom for myself, and I’m always going back to study Fawlty Towers. Its tempo and the ensemble playing make it so funny and appealing — much more clever than American comedies."

Middled aged with a growing bitter resentment for not having children smouldering under the surface. I always thought.

I might have overthought it.

I was flicking through the channels the other night and The Apprentice Australia was on, with "Lord" Sugar. I think it must have been a celebrity version as one of the contestants was someone I hadn't seen on TV for ages - North East comedian Ross Noble - who it turns out now lives and works in Australia with his family. gasp
