Re: David Bovvie - David Bovvie (1969)
This would appear to be the best song apart from the single.

Is the last three minutes just going to be this chant?

I would assume it's his attempt to do a Hey Jude.

It is over.
I felt that was a very unfocused album which struggled to properly get going.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

I feel that I'm going to have to state beforehand when I'm available for these running commentaries.

Sounds much better than when I'm half listening to this when it comes on the radio.
Handclaps. More Rick Wakemans ish sounds. Bass bassoon or something having a fit...

Tony Visconti didn't produce the as he thought it was a cheap novelty song cashing in on the moon landings.
He was rite.
Syd Barrett (style guitar) on guitar outro.
Fade in fade out, I've not time for the old in out I'm only here to read the meter.

Unwashed and slight dazed.
Didn't Dave's first wife keep going on about how little he'd shower?
Started a bit Dylan, gone all Glam!

I liked the laugh on 'it's very catching'.
Lyrics a bit too over written, and the Dylan influence isn't a good thing for Dave. But I like this.
