That's not his real name you know.

There's a good version of this on Budokan.

This one's too repetitive for my liking.

I always thought he was singing "she was born in Spain".

It would've been interesting if he'd got Steely Dan in to produce him.

Unusually for Bob's songs I like the sound of this more than I do the lyrics.

I swear to you - the Hard Rain version is better.
Nobody else in the world but me thinks this, but that's just the way I roll.

The ramshackle quality and the mournful violin supercharges it.

Struggling to hear it over the rain.
I shall battle bravely on.

A warning to all:
The harmonica 'solo' at the end is arguably one of the very worst ever ever EVER.

Oh, Bob.
You were so famous and powerful that nobody had the guts to rip that harmonica out of your mouth.

This track haunted me as a child.
The narrative is almost medieval or Shakespearian in its lurid opacity.

This is one of my all-time favourite Bob songs. It was the first one I heard that wasn't on Bringing It All Back Home. We were outside our student accommodation block in 1989, soaking up the sun, when my new friend D approached me with a walkman and said 'Fangirl, Bob's got a song to sing you' and I put it on and listened to Idiot Wind.

Lyrically, Bobby at his best!
