Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
Sounds good.
My mother is always calmer and happier and reports feeling much better when she is going through a 'no drinking' few days. People who drink every day think it makes their lives more manageable, but apart from generally having the opposite effect, it comes at the cost of making the lives of everyone who loves them worse.
You don't ever fully relax when someone has a problem or a habit like that. There's never a point where it isn't at the back of your mind, waiting to race once again to the forefront. It takes up a huge amount of bandwith. Can't even ignore the phone ringing in the middle of the night - just in case it's more than a wrong number.

Yes, it's examples like that that I have at the forefront of my mind when monitoring my own behaviour.
Luckily so far I have not been a nuisance to anyone other than myself, and hopefully the ongoing reduction process will make sure things stay that way.

I was quite ill overnight after my covid jab. I got all shivery and had to have a hot water bottle. I feel better now, but all my joints are achy, even my thumbs.

I feel much better this morning.
Just in time for my flu jab later on to make me feel ill again

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
Only two famous people in the whole world apparently died of/with COVID last month, according to a search on Wikipedia's deaths!
One of which being Bill Treacher-Arthur Fowler!

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
Did he? What a shame. It must be more than that globally, seeing as recorded and therefore freely admitted deaths are still in the daily thousands.
The queen went downhill pretty sharply after she had it, but that's not directly blamed. Whether the infection hastened her rapid decline is less clear cut.

They need to hurry up with that anti-gunshot vaccine.

My friend's got covid for the first time, just under 4 years since the plague broke out. I wonder if that's a record?

That is quite an achievement. I hope they'll be alright.

A friend of the family has just got Covid for the first time. He's in his 70s and is an alcoholic. I haven't heard anything for over a week but I presume he's okay. I believe his wife, my mum's friend, hasn't had it at all.
Actually, I don't think my sister has had Covid either, and she's an actual hospital nurse!

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
I've never tested positive for Covid but am convinced that's just because they've always analysed my swab wrongly.

Still never had it to my knowledge. Seems unlikely, so I must be one of the asymptomatic types we used to hear so much about.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
My friend reports only mild symptoms so far.
