Still no signs of any actual crew members.

Perhaps they're depicting the ship after the crew disappeared, which is stupid, as no one wants to hear that. They want to hear what happens to the crew.

Thinking about it, it's vaguely reminiscent of the beginning of Six Months in a Leaky Boat by Split Enz.

Split Enz managed to get through that bit in about a minute. I'm not sure why it's taking this lot so long.

That's what I'm expecting from them once this bit's out of the way.

55 minutes in. It seems to have stopped progressing. No new sounds have been added and several that were there have stopped.

The creaking, squeaking and groaning have stopped. So has the left channel scorpion.

I think the band have lost interest and are now trying to work out how they can stop without losing face.

It's petering out somewhat.

Just two minutes to go. Plenty of time for a song to break out.

It is over.

That was very interesting in the way it built and created mood.

However, it took too long to do it and made no attempt to capture the activities and feelings of the crew, like a proper classical composer would have done. It seems to me that they missed the main story.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.
