Very abrupt fade out.

Re: The Psychedelic Furs – Forever Now (1982)
Is over.
That was an album that was far better than I expected it to be. I felt that, after the first couple of tracks, Side One ran out of steam badly but Side Two was compelling from start to finish. The sax was especially appreciated.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

I shall give it 3 stars due to the failings of Side One letting it down.

Well, it's quite a good album.
No conspicuous 'fails' or severe fallings away of quality.
However, President Gas in all its excellence is ultimately the whole album's yardstick and, although "Love My Way" seems to keep the fire burning bright I do feel that the record subsequently lapses into a state of faintly forgettable goth-rock posturing, without the early musical dynamism and deadpan, but lyrically playful satire.
Still, it's, as I said above, quite good.
Probably a bit better than that in fact.
Might need to be listened to again.
