I heard about that fire on Radio 5 while driving back and forth between Glasgow and Paisley yesterday afternoon.

It's the only radio station I can get on my car radio.

Are you sure it was the NW8 one?

There were two other much bigger fires yesterday in London.

One in Manor Park, Ilford and one at the Edward Woods estate in Shepherds Bush (about a ten minute walk from Grenfell sad yes

).

The Evesham House one was diddy by comparison.

I've just noticed that an enormous overhanging branch (verging on a separate tree) has broken off a (copper?) birch tree in the communal garden.

Obviously my first instinct was foul play by anti-arboreal thugs, or over enthusiasm on the part of scallywags swinging on overhanging arbours etc...

Having looked at it closer now however, it would appear top be a result of said tree being allowed to develop a mega-dangerous-branch what could of crushed our future.

Or me. rant

Kill it. Bleach, vinegar, salt, cheapo speed, random attacks, kickings, engine oil, fire. We had the same thing with a sycamore. All of a sudden we had no choice but to take this thing on (two years, and they shoot up and out like nobody's business), now gone.
