Re: What's that in your Mouth?
I have just experimented by stirring meatballs into my microwave bread mix.
As it was tipped out of the bowl, after cooking, it split in half, horizontally. Meaning it came out as a ready-made sandwich.

I've noticed that my local supermarket stocks flour designed to be used for bread-making, as opposed to the general-purpose flour I've been using. The next time I buy flour, I shall buy that and see how it works.

It's got more gluten so the dough can stretch more. Thus giving the bread better texture.
It's known as 'strong' flour

I had a McDonald's 'Philly Cheese Stack'. 643 calories. There was certainly lots of cheese in it, but that just showed up the inferior quality of the meat in the burger patties.
It may be 100% beef but they don't say which parts of the cow.

I’ve always found McDonalds perfectly acceptable. For all the snobbery, and urban legends about people finding fried tumours inside their chicken nuggets, I’ve never had any issue.
Well one issue, but not related to quality. When ordering a strawberry milkshake, they only do ‘regular’ or ‘large’. My default is to order a small, and they can’t cope with the terminology. Sometimes they won’t proceed until you say ‘regular’ when it should be perfectly clear that if you aren’t ordering ‘large’ but ‘small’, you mean the smaller one.
If I’m already making an effort to buy in, to the extent that I’m consistently and politely willing in a McDonald’s setting to say ‘fries’ instead of chips, they should meet me half way by not forcing me to say things like ‘regular’. Occasionally I’ve been so irritated by the jobsworth who’s insisting that I’ve said it in a Cali Valley Girl accent.

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
I always order off the kiosk screens, which avoids any of that malarkey.

I made a huge stockpotful of kale & kidney bean stew. Also featuring carrots, leeks and potatoes, seasoned with cayenne pepper.
That'll clear out my pipes.

Re: What's that in your Mouth?
Last night, I had a £4 bar of Galaxy.
I have concluded that I don't like Galaxy as much as Dairy Milk.

Also, it's harder to break into convenient-sized chunks than Dairy Milk.

I prefer Galaxy. But not in that kind of quantity.
They’ve done something to Dairy Milk. It’s now quite greasy, and I have a suspicion the orangutans are paying for the change, so I don’t appreciate any of that. I think a photo of an orphaned baby face should be placed on any packaging if it contains palm oil from unsustainable sources, with the strap line ‘look at what you’ve done’.

I had scrambled eggs for breakfast. A delicious way to start Christmas.
