Court case just ended so he went on his Holibobles., and I think he just threw away the bed sheets rather than trying to wash them.

Probably for the best.
My mother said to me over the weekend that she thought we had a Johnny Depp v Amber Heard relationship. I was quite insulted. I thought we got on better than that.

I have been considering a trip to Yorkshire for the very first time. Has anyone been to Temple Newsam? I thought I'd enjoy looking around there, and then treat myself to a night in Bradford with a specially chosen local young man.

I don't think I've ever been to West Yorkshire, other than just passing through on the way to other places.

Anyone ever see that episode of Top Gear when they had AH on as the 'Star in the Reasonably Priced Car"?
Cl*rkson interviewed her before and was drooling all over her and commenting lasciviously on her supposab' bis*xuality and love of 'muscle cars'.
It was car-crash TV.
Unfortunately, there was no actual car crash after.

You've never seen culture? You've never been to Leeds?

Only an Oxbridge toff who's not nearly as good at accents as Paul Whitehouse would say that.
Leeds is filth - a matter of objective fact.

I used to live there.
I hated it. And they all talk like Jimmy Savile.

Re: The Sheffieldshire thread
Well I've never been either, but I'm sure Yorkshire is just Yorkshire, like 'Last of the Summer Wine' crossed with 'Band of Gold', complete with strange old perverts in lamé tracksuits. How different can all the Yorkshires be from one another?
My brother and I have a saying. 'Eee, you're not in Barnsley now love'. Copied, accent and all, from 'Where The Heart Is', when a new character couldn't find pesto in Skelthwaite. I'm sure theyll be receptive to my fabulous impression of them.

Re: The Sheffieldshire thread
I've been to Leeds, which seemed quite civilised. And Wakefield, York, and Whitby. I don't think I've ever actually stopped in South Yorkshire though, it makes me think of the miners' strike.
My aunt lives in Wakefield, she suffered a heart attack when she woke up to hear thieves nicking the lead flashing from around her bay windows.
Luckily she fully recovered thanks to advanced Yorkshire medical technology.

I've visited Leeds a few times - it's surprisingly nice, and relatively clean for a big city. Much nicer than Manchester. :troll: I've also been to Doncaster racecourse (where I met Anthea Turner circa 1994) and Hull. I've driven through Sheffield city centre but haven't got out of the car. I've yet to venture into actual York or the North Yorkshire coast.
Oh, I've driven through Halifax and Huddersfield too.

Re: The Sheffieldshire thread
I drove past the big green no-longer-Debenhams on Sunday. And I cast a glance towards the heights where our forum leader resides.
I also went through Dewsbury and over the M62 summit.
Perhaps as a result of subconscious influence, I bought a bag of Yorkshire Mixtures in Morrisons yesterday.
