Is it a good time to mention that we have floods like that literally once in the last few months?

I like the way he can't resist lugubriously slagging off the 'idiots' driving through the waters. But I wanted more shots of the far side of the road, to see where the water was going.
Good to see the mighty Sheffield bus crossing the torrent.
One of my neighbours no longer has a roof.

Re: The Weather Thread Part 4.
Just before dawn, there was an almighty great gust of wind and a load of noise that made it clear something was being trashed by it. I gave off an expletive-laden declaration, because it sounded apocalyptic.
When I got up, half an hour later, and pulled back the curtains, The first thing I checked was that my fence was still standing. Amazingly, it was.
And then, looking up, I noticed that one of the houses opposite has its roof hanging off. It was one of those flat, tarpaulin and asphalt type roofs. Some of its insulation is currently lying on my porch roof.
Their van's not in the street. So, I assume they've fled the scene.

This has genuinely been the worst storm I've ever experienced. The strength of the wind and the amount of rain's been insane, and it's still going.

I admire the way that after the apocalyptic sw*ring, you coolly treated yourself to a lie-in before finding out what had been destroyed

It is a lovely day here in Paisley, sunny and windy.

Further investigation on my part has revealed the roof has also brought down their chimney, satellite dish and phone line, with it.

We've had another very windy day, and initially a lot of rain, but nothing like the above.
...Other than the appearance of an earthquake.
There were yet more sticks and twigs all over the drive and front lawn which I collected, almost filling a large flexi-tub.
