While driving on the A66 yesterday I learnt something from a radio programme which made me think 'I'll put that in the Breaking Learning thread when I arrive'.

I've seen the Trent, because the A1(M) crosses it. On the western side of the bridge, you can see riverside signs telling the boats where to go.



I have not seen the Ouse because, by the time it gets to the A1(M), it's called the Ure.

I did cross the Aire & Calder Navigation on Saturday, just 4.5 miles upstream of where it debouches into the Ouse.
