Amiably, irreverent anarchy or just painfully dated sh*t?

Gone a bit Beatles.

There's also a vague sense of The Kinks's elegiac "Celluloid Heroes".

It is over.
It was OK.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Well.
I didn't hold out a lot of hope for that album.
Instead I thought it was a bit of a troll-y middle finger to my fellow Wendigans in choosing it.

I quite enjoyed that. Quirky and amusing, a bit annoying in places - as expected - but also some nice melodic bits, gr8 use of drum machines and whatever else.
I'd probably give it 3.5 if I could, but will downgrade it to...

Instead it was really entertaining and deft and intelligently crafted.
Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it's made me feel quite joyous on this Saturday night.
There were a number of interesting influences that revealed how the Damned were more of a proto-punk band (like The Stranglers) and that CS was a considerably more talented and intelligent than his oafish persona concealed.
Top marks from me.

I wish I had dark eyebrows and eyelashes like that. He was quite presentable when dressed, well, a bit more traditionally, but usually went for the famed loony look.
