"And who can deny that Jimmy Page is the absolute number-one heaviest white blues guitarist between 5'4" and 5'8" in the world??"

They've gone now, actually, she was a brave little birdie, I thought she might be pining for her nest o'eggs, I put them in the cage, but she's too stupid to sit on them, when they're actually in the cage.

Re: The waiting in thread
I have to wait in for a special delivery parcel this morning. And a Sainsburys delivery at lunchtime. And I've got to go to the chemist's to pick up a prescription and the Co-op to buy wine.
It's the busiest day off ever.

We're delivering: Sainsbury's Soft Multiseed Farmhouse Thick Sliced Wholemeal Bread, Taste the Difference 800g
Re: The waiting in thread
The suspense is killing me. I haven't achieved any of the above tasks yet.

No sooner had I clicked Send on that post than my parcel arrived!

I've been to the chemist and the Co-op, and now my Sainsbury's order has arrived. It came with a free gift, a bottle of fancy mixer for spirits.

Re: The waiting in thread
I've rushed back here from a weekend alternating between relaxing and calculations in Somerset this morning, because I've ordered Sean an Aneros Progasm Prostate Massager from Amazon. Apparently the Rolls Royce of downstairs toys for men.
I tried to press click and collect but was too late. I don't want it going to someone else's door, so next day delivery means today. Anytime up until 10pm. I could do with a long nap but I'll have to remain awake now for the door buzzer.

Let me know if it's any good. I've been weighing up getting one of those for a couple of years. I'm looking for that just been at the dentist fresh feeling every morning but I'm not into gimmicks.

Can you really get next day delivery to arrive on Sunday?!

Re: The waiting in thread
Amazon deliver on Sundays and it's not even next day delivery that they do it on.

You can indeed. And yes, as long as you order before noon you can have it by the same evening.
I don't know how I feel about that. The death of high streets (jobs, community, pleasure, choice, touch, lots of premises being great buildings in their own right) concerns and upsets me. I am thrilled by the rally of bookshops, and I enjoyed New York City telling Amazon to get lost.
However, they are tragically convenient.

Goodness me.
I never buy stuff from Amazon unless it's the only way to get it.

How's your Philips dental gadget?
Thank goodness I did come home and didn't rely on a neighbour. The box was wide open at one end, and the unasked for free gifts of easyglide relaxing anal lubricant and erotic massage oil in 'Spanische fliege' by 'Magoon' were on full display. I'm not sure what relationship Spanish flies have to erotic scents. Maybe it means flies as in trouser zips and not flies as in buzzing insects.
Smirking delivery guy said to 'have a great evening'.
