The people a few houses up the road had a tree up in their front room yesterday - November 12th!

Also Sainsburys put their internal decorations up the same day.

And Tescos had theirs up this morning.

I noticed over the weekend that one of the local Black Country townlets near me's Christmas lights had appeared on the lampposts in the main shopping street - a shopping street of about three shops, including two charity shops.

EDIT: The third shop being the Spar, which actually shut down a few months ago.

I'm putting my tree up next Saturday cos it's December 1st, and Advent Sunday isn't til the next day, so the 'earlier of the two' clause comes into play.
