They make an err interesting isn't quite the right word, sound, but there's no songs.
I could imagine them being good live, in 1991. While wearing a long sleeved James T-shirt. Or possibly one of those cow Inspiral Carpets ones.

The production is much too clean.
Like a baked beans tin can with label torn off and then highly polished on an industrial buffer with gradually finer grit sandpaper over a period of several hours.
