Sometimes, it buzzes. Sometimes, it gurgles. Mostly, it does neither.

Yes. And newly. The other night there was such a fizzing sound of electricity I thought something was going to explode. I eventually tracked it down to the fridge, so decided it was probably OK because fridges often do make strange noises in the night in my experience. Although I don’t know how they know it’s night. If it’s that clever I trust it not to burn me out of house and home.

All the fridges I've owned have just made ordinary, reassuring fridge-type noises.
