I put on Microsoft's Edge for the first time in ages, the tab/page brings up a page of little video adverts, Thousands of 'em! And you can't change it!

Although I did disable the 'load new tab page in background' settings, oddly enough I'd rather spend my bandwidth download what I want*, not adverts for the Daily m*il.

* looking at the Daily M*il sidebar of shame. happy

I had to install an extension to Chromium to make it show a blank tab when I opened a new tab.

I'm getting big black squares overlaying some pages in Firefox. It's particularly bad near animated GIFs, Wendi's signature animation is a frequent example.

I think it must be some hardware acceleration thing but I haven't got anywhere yet by fiddling with the config settings.

This problem seems to have stopped happening. Trouble is I can't remember which was the last config setting that I tinkered with.

I've not got those black shapes again. But, Google Maps won't offer me 3D view. It depends on the same setting being the opposite.

Weirdly, when I was hunting down distance signs for the Signpost extravaganza thread, I noticed that 3D view was back.

Does that mean the black shapes will now return?

I've noticed that, with Brave, when you select a section of text on a website for copying and pasting purposes and then right-click, one of the options that appears says, "Leo AI Tools."

I wonder what it does?
