The lack of power in the voice dosn't help. Maybe if they dropped it a lot in the mix, double tracked the guitars a bit more.. like it's doing now.. Also would have hidden the lyrics.

Still, this track is typical of Ray Davies.

Hinting at something good, but ultimately just wallowing in musical mediocrity and banal lyricism concept-wise.
