Despite the Mamas & the Papas harmonies it's quite distinct.

If not entirely original.

I think it was hard for anyone to seem entirely original at the time.

Me either.

It's kinda interesting though.

I've always disliked the groove and too-cool-fpr-skool stylings, but...

I guess you had to be ther3e, right? dunno

It is over.

It was all very pleasant but a bit too fey and 1968 for me. Plus, I've never liked Colin Blunstone's voice which is far too gentle for my liking.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it. Excited

★★★ from me.

Weirdly though, I feel it might've deserved ★★★★ on account that, despite a few notable exceptions, it was quite an original work with a unique sound.

I'm in!

Harpsichord.

60s sound. bass, Rudimental drums. wimsey. That very period keyboard sound.

This has got very early 60s panning for an album that came out in 1968.

Strangly colourless and, to be honest, lifeless vocals.

A Rose For Emily

More late 60s wimsey. More Beach Boys.

I think I've made a terrible, terrible mistake.

At least they kept it short.

Maybe After He's Gone

Ooh, this one sounds like it could go like the Animals,

I was never keen on vocal harmonies to be honest.

Maybe we should have done this for Hallowe'en? Zombies? as in the Undead…

Maybe not.
