Re: The Weather Thread Part 4.
It could have been very grim indeed. Once or twice between M1 junctions 17 and 18 I couldn't see a thing, just whirling snow. I could have ended up cold, mangled and dead still 20 miles short of a chicken and stuffing sandwich at Corley services

I was lucky, I finished my servitude for Royal Mail and it started raining on my drive home.....hasn't stopped since.

It's snowed here! Just enough to look pretty without being inconvenient.

1 degree.
Snow and ice everywhere.
It's been so cold overnight that the anti-frosting thing kicked in on my radiators and they were all on when I got up this morning.

It's a grim grey morning here in grim grey Glasgow.

Dundee is the sunniest Scottish City. They go on about it all the time, poor s*ds.

It's also a lot more expensive on that side of the country.
I went to the Morrisons in Cambuslang this morning. The town has a golf course but the rest of it looks like it's recovering from an aerial bombardment.

And I believe Plockton in the Highlands is ironically in the mildest part of Scotland and has its own gulf stream. There are palm trees there!
EDIT: ...and not much else from my own experience of visiting 20 years ago.
