Well, I thought it pretty super.
RPJ obviously wasn't ever quite able to make the significant step up from studio wizard and all that, but this is album is a really coherent, chunky and funky under-the-radar gem.
Solidly funky throughout, but with the inevitable disco and digital production sound knocking at the door.
In truth, it's remarkably funky in a pre-disco way for 1978.
This is something that I, personally, myself, for me is a good thing.
Others seem to have taken a different (wrong) view.

Well, that wasn't anywhere near as good, or interesting as I expected. Other than the last track which I liked I thought overall it was quite bland, generic and almost lifeless in parts, and I'm never a fan of those mid 70s funk guitars.
I love aspects of late 70s music, but to me this sort of album is why the 80s must have seemed so exciting and fresh. This album was funky of sorts, but lacked any real.... funk. Cliff Richard albums of the same era are more invigorating.

Make sure you have a lukewarm mug of Ovaltine ready for tomorrow night.

Or just a small glass of lukewarm water.
Y'know, nothing too fiery or icy.
