Sheffield shouldn't be trying to pretend to be Manchester.

No, and I had a copy of the first album.

There's going to be a minutes silence before the game and both teams will be wearing armbands in memory of Bobby Charlton in the SUFC vs MUFC game tonight.
They should have another minutes silence and wear two black armbands for this as well.

This is more like the early Pulp song we all know and love.

They had to wait another 10/11 years for a hit.

I wonder if Jarvis is an Owl or a Blade?
I think his dad Joe was an Owl.

Rickenbacker-type guitar 'sproing' to finish with.

It is over.
It lacked the sparkle that would have made me go out and propel it up the Hit Parade.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Born in Sheffield, the frontman for Pulp, Jarvis Cocker has grown up a Sheffield Wednesday and fan and even participated as a guest for a Half-Time 50/50 draw at Hillsborough.
I think AI writers would be an improvement for The Star.

Re: Pulp go Wham! - (1983).
It was worse, but then better than I expected considering I was expecting to hear Pulp covers of the likes of Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and Young Guns (Go For It).
But the songs turned out okay. A bit bland but not as dark as I then would have expected.
