I thought she'd already had a hit with this.

It is over.
It was a standard-issue episode with the nearest things to highlights being by Madonna and Coolio.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I seem to remember, like Robson and Jerome, it was a Soldier Soldier thing.

Wasn't he already middle-aged when Rock Around the Clock came out?SiberianPrincess’sMidriff wrote:Billy Halley!
They all look eligible for next year's old aged pension!
This is the equivalent of a group from 2004 getting onto Top of the Pops!
If it was still going.

Does that include when they briefly became E-17 at the end of their career, and with fewer members?

Announcement alert!!
After nearly 20 years - 1976 to 1995 - condensed into 13 years - 2011 to 2024 - my relationship with the repeats of Top of the Pops has finally come to an end now we're heading into 1996.
I will dip in and out on occasion, and read any running commentaries, but I won't be watching it religiously - like tonight for example - though I still like and bought a lot of the music in 1996 (Tina Turner has a good year chart wise). It, and especially Top of the Pops as a programme, just doesn't have the same nostalgia value that anything before it has for me. And I never did really like guest presenters anyway.
Or the 1991 "revamp".
Bring back the 80s Top of the Pops studio party vibe!
