Radio one is unlistenable in the day, the compression is horrendous.

I'm using the Sounds app on my my mobile phone to re-listen to last nites disaster, but it's kinda the radio.

That's why I'm going to sling out my Technics tuner, because even analogue radio is now just broadcasting the compressed version you can get online.

Imma dump my CD player too, because it's 20 years old and won't play anything burnt on a PC.

Unlike my trusty indoor car stereo, which will play any CD I give it.

I've already ill*g*lly downloaded all the comedy of BBC Radio 7 4 Extra that I want to listen to, Radio 1 is so compressed it's unlistenable, Radio 2 is like Radio 1 from 2002, and every time you turn on Radio 4 within 20 seconds some humourless REDACTED is droning on about  REDACTED, if not REDACTED. And on at least one occasion REDACTED REDACTED!



Sometime I don't know why I pay for a Radio license.

Though I suspect we're talking about different REDACTEDs.

I listen to the news on Radio 5 when I'm driving, because that's the only station my car radio will pick up.

At home I only listen to the World Service. And I don't do that as much as I used to. I listen to loads of podcasts now. I haven't had my horizons expanded so much by audio material since I first started listening to Radio 4 in 1984.
