My printer is a Canon Pixma iP-1600.

It turns out it's the one printer there are no drivers available for online, which means I'm going to have to switch back to Windows when I need to print things. killcomputer

Trouble is I'm running it off a memory stick and you need a degree in computer science to actually install it to the hard drive.

And then you need another degree in computer science to get it to connect to the Internet.

I suspect tantrums and swearing are ahead of me.

I tried the Chrome operating system earlier but that wouldn't work at all. I just got a blank screen and a low battery warning, even though the thing was plugged into the mains. Colbert

I am now trying Android on it.

It has frozen during set up.

Slacko Puppy seems to be the only operating system that doesn't make it freeze.

I suspect it may need a better RAM card. dunno

I have now switched back to normal. That was a genuinely eye-opening experiment I've never experienced computing that fast before. Even the Sheffield Star opened instantly - and that usuallyl takes hours. gasp
