I has just been out. It is hot, but not horrifically so. But then I wasn't carrying anything or working digging up the roads for 8 hours or something.

I too have closed the windows of the bedroom I'm using, because there's a pitched tiled roof outside and the tiles heat up like mad.

Oh, gawd, the blinds have been shut and the window closed since 7am, there are quite a few people with their front doors and all their windows open which I suggest is not wise as the wind is hotter than the inside of my house.

The 'keeping your windows shut' thing has been quite a revelation to me.

The brutal experience of feeling a breeze that quite sturdy, yet witheringly hot earlier on was actually quite disturbing.
