The word on the street is that the rise in BTC is driven by three factors:
1. General 'risk on' mood because interest rate rises seem to have stopped. Bitcoin, having like gold no yield, is less attractive when rates are high and rising.
2. Continuing prospect of ETFs (though they've been using that explanation for a while)
3. All those crypto people getting arrested has 'cleansed' bitcoin of its criminal associations. (That sounds like nonsense to me, as you could claim the same thing if no-one had been arrested).
