Did the Edge ever do an album called "Ike Turner"?

I can see the bayou shack literally bouncing beck and forth like in that Marx Brothers film.

Does sound more 1970 than 1980, dunno if that's a bad thing or not.

It is over.
It was OK but no more than that.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I must also add that I like the cover art as well.
It's got a weird, '80s aesthetic and it's seriously 'edgy'.
The razor seems more than emblematic.

Well, the first side was (thankfully) the best side, but side 2 had the best song of the album.
I don't love those Tina songs, they are okay but the first couple are a bit bland, though they got better. I did particularly like that first track on side 2, though the rest of them were a bit boring, and I never like his voice.
3.5/5
Rounded down to 3/5 for voting.

Re: Ike Turner - The Edge (1980)
I almost would have given it ★★★★★, but Side B was a bit patchy.
Still, it had a few decent tracks (especially the first one - that actually induced a momentary existential crisis in young Butterpops).
Also - and I can only suppose at the is point - I guess we were listening to versions of the last stuff Tina and Ike ever recorded in earnest (and relative peace) together.
So, not unimportant all things considered.

Yes, I really wanted to use the word "mindf..." but I couldn't think of a more palatable term for this forum.

The background to this album needs some research.
