[Freddie] Mercury commented he wrote the lyrics [for "Killer Queen"] before the melody and music, whereas normally he would do the opposite. He stated that the song was about a high-class call girl, although EMI promoter Eric Hall claims that the song is about him.

I might hate football, and I know he's a bit of a controversial figure in this country, but I remember ~~confusing him with Madonna~~ him being around when I was a child and I was quite shocked just to see he'd died. I'd seen he was ill last week, but still.
