How much are we getting for all our entertaining and exciting posts on here driving the viewership/ad revenue through the roof?

Only Forumotion can answer that, as they keep it all for themselves.

Let's try embedding it the old-fashioned way:
In Italy today, a priest decided to live-stream a mass due to COVID-19. Unfortunately he activated the video filters by mistake. pic.twitter.com/zu2qwAlCyT

Could you livestream busking Wendi-Pops?
Y'know with a colourful mask on to protect your identity?
You could charge tuppence a request.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
I was touched by the news of the old (and now dead) Italian priest giving up his ventilator to another patient. Of course I wouldn't have done such a thing - as a fully fledged psychopath I'd have turned the hospital generators off for maximum satisfaction, after I'd set fire to some ambulances for a bit of a light relief laugh.
It all feels a bit surreal. I now (ever so slightly more than I don't) want to get it early, so I can then do things like go shopping for the elderly.

How do you get those? I wouldn't mind with all this time on my hands. I thought I was the only person who enjoys taking part in telephone surveys by Ipsos Mori.

You sign up for them. The only survey sites I'd recommend are Populous Live ( https://www.populuslive.com ), Prolific ( https://www.prolific.co ) and Qmee ( https://www.qmee.com ).
Populous don't have many surveys. You can wait a couple of weeks between them but they pay better than most sites.
Prolific host studies on behalf of students and universities. They have plenty of them but you have to install the Prolific Assistant extension to Chrome ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/prolific-assistant/ocfncbnofopjedoepmekajbgdenadepp?hl=en-GB ) or you'll miss them all because they go quickly. It alerts you when there's a new one appeared.
Qmee doesn't pay anything like as well but you can cash-out instantly and their estimates of how long surveys will take are usually accurate. I find it's best to only go for the short ones on Qmee. A number of those are by Enlight.ly and only take a minute or so to do.
There's also Intellizoom ( http://intellizoom.com ) which isn't a survey site. It pays you to visit websites and rate them. It pays well for the small amount of work involved. You don't get many offers from them but the ones you get are always worth taking.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
I was absolutely heartbroken to read of the very elderly in Spain, found dead in their beds after the staff had gone AWOL.
What an awful way to die for people already frail and probably very confused. How life changingly tragic for their relatives.

After an essential visit out to the GP yesterday, to use their letter drop facility, I'm waiting for a reasonable time to head to the pharmacy. I can't get through on their phone number to check, and I don't want to wander around outside unnecessarily.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
I've been in a three quarter hour queue outside the chemist. More of a gaggle really, considering the two metre rule. Police driving past slowly, looking at everyone, twice. Eventually my turn to be admitted to the premises came, and - no prescription. I've called the surgery and someone I presume is a volunteer (haven't heard her voice before) told me they estimate a four day turnaround on requests. A bit inconvenient considering my chronic physical pain and serious insomnia along with my clinical depression and panic disorder, but I suppose I can't complain in the grand scheme of things.
Also waiting out there was a privileged bohemian looking man who had clearly fallen on harder times than he was raised to deal with, and I could swear was out of it on cheap cider and other substances. I looked to see if he was smacking his legs with a metal ruler, but he wasn't, so I didn't say hello or ask him for a quick ride in a shop doorway.
The drill from the banlieues has started up again, so I presume lessons are finished for the afternoon.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
Doesn't really apply to me, but I'm a bit confused about the statutory sick pay. The news is saying that it has a three day waiting period which is to be reduced to immediately from day one of your sick period.
Yet the sick who are unable to work and didn't have a job to leave, don't get anything for the first few weeks, and that's been the aim of the policy, as has the sum being less than statutory sick pay, itself derisory.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
After two days of trying, I've still failed to make a claim for Universal Credit. Once you've filled in the form, you then have to prove you're who you say you are. You can do this by uploading two or three items of photo ID, which I don't have. I saw people on Twitter posting screen grabs of them trying to do so and the graphic telling them they're 140,000th in the queue (literally).
Those who lack photo ID have to take other forms of ID, such as birth certificates, bank cards and their National Insurance card, to the JobCentre to show their work coach.
Except the JobCentres are closed.
And, before you can get any money, you also have to phone to make an appointment to see your work coach, to finalise the claim, which means that all the 140,000 people who are ahead of you in verifying your identity are also ahead of you in waiting on the phone.
