Very worrying. I'm sorry to read this. You must be beside yourself. Don't apologise for sharing your concerns.

Perhaps Helium's relatives are other types of noble gasses?

I've just had a good dose of the clap.
Crotch Hands glowing in pain now.

These ar*eholes not only did this, but blocked ambulance. What kind of sc*m do you have to be to actively block an ambulance?
Well done to Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin. Two proper New Yorkers who can always be relied upon to bring sense to a discussion.

I clinked the ice cubes in my vodka and tonic.

Related - I'm still crafting my complaint to Ofcom about Carol McGiffin's ranting ignorance last month on ITV about how this was just a flu, how dare the pubs shut, and that it was a great time to shop for holiday bargains, in between laughing at her own audacious wit. Rather than the passage of time softening my reaction, I've found myself more angry than ever about the segment I unfortunately watched.
As I said then, that programme is disproportionately watched by the sick, the elderly, the educationally/socially disadvantaged, the generally C2/D/E - all of whom are at much greater risk than average, and in many cases are more likely to believe what they see from their chosen source, and act accordingly. I seriously wonder how many pensioners have died after thinking along the lines of "yeah, she's probably right, Carol says it like it is, let's go out" - I bet it isn't zero. She should be deeply ashamed, and her employers in a reflective mind. Broadcasting comes with a responsibility.

Ramon Holmes is rightly being looked into for his own lack of responsibility, despite that being far more obviously just an example of his own stupidity, so I see no reason why she should get away with far more dangerous sh*te. She's been on chemotherapy herself, so you'd hope she might have learned a few things about the dangers of even normal infections for people with immune systems not firing on all cylinders.
I've decided to stick to the cold facts in my letter, and not include my favourite description of her as looking like a 't*st*cle in a wig'.

I like that. My hair is certainly getting longer, but there's a hair shaver somewhere which will come in handy pretty soon. I don't care about me as I'd use scissors on myself if I had to, but I wonder how women with luscious hair who regularly go the the hairdressers are getting on, and those older ladies who get their perms and blue rinses - and use it as a sort of social event.
Hope things are okay with your family Helium. My own sister works in a hospital and had to self isolate a couple of weeks ago due to thinking she'd got the virus, but had tests which came back negative. I do worry for her and people in the same situation, such as your mum.
I only heard two close fireworks tonight during the clapping thing this evening. Maybe people are running out of fireworks and can't access any more due to the lockdown. But now it seems people are being encouraged to light these Chinese lanterns for some bizarre reason, which of course cause devastation to wildlife and set all kinds of things on fire when they land. Why can't some people just stick to the original basic clapping to show appreciation?!

It's hell. Today I was out in a Loewe silk headscarf as well as a surgical mask. Worse than no hair appointments are those for brow and lash tinting.
Has anyone here got rainbows in their windows? I noticed earlier a few on ground floor properties. One round the corner has rainbow print curtains. Someone else had a hand drawn BUPA logo in a hollow red love heart, which must be a local take on the NHS ones I've seen on the news. It doesn't really apply to me because my windows aren't visually accessible from the street, so I haven't done it.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
I did see a rather fetching full rainbow flag flying outside a house in a rather ordinary street.

Lots of houses here have got kids' drawings of rainbows in the windows. And chalked on the pavement outside sometimes.

That all sounds very nice.
I feel like a c*w because I only remembered today that a good friend lives in a nursing home after suffering a serious stroke. I was going to ring, but I don't know if I want to know. On top of which, they're probably far too busy to be fielding phone calls.

I feel better with a couple of outside the house tasks lined up. Shopping for the old lady in this street tomorrow, and likewise for my mothers boyfriend who is unwell and in isolation, via my doctors letterbox with a list of essential goodies days in advance so they have time to process it.

Interesting points here about racial profiling risks to ethnic minority men in face masks. Something to consider.

Re: Coronavirus :dontpanic:
One of my grandmothers nurses, who has become a family friend, has contracted Covid-19. She's moved into her garage because she doesn't want her children or her mother to become sick from her staying in the house. She said she's never felt worse in her life. Evidently fifteen or so of her patients and four colleagues were diagnosed on the same day.
